My Upgrade Journey: From Cheap Glasses to Premium Eyewear

Finding the right prescription glasses can be a real challenge, especially when you're searching for affordable options. I've been there myself, navigating through cheap pairs, mediocre ones, and finally discovering fantastic eyewear. This is the story of how I upgraded my glasses.

Stage 1: The Cheap Phase

We all have to start somewhere, right? My first pair of glasses were incredibly cheap—I'm talking rock-bottom prices. At the time, I thought I had found an amazing deal on affordable prescription eyewear.

That initial purchase was super inexpensive, but it only lasted a few weeks. The frames felt like they were made from toy plastic, the lenses scratched almost instantly, and the screws constantly came loose, leaving me always tightening them back up.

To give you an idea, these glasses broke faster than I could say "new glasses." I'd give them a one-star review and suggest avoiding them at all costs!

Verdict: Don't waste your money on extremely cheap glasses. The small savings aren't worth the constant hassle, and the lenses are usually low quality and won't last.

Stage 2: The Mid-Range Phase

After learning my lesson, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I moved up to a mid-range pair, which turned out to be just okay—not great, but not terrible either. They were simply mediocre.

The quality was definitely a step up from my first pair. The frames felt sturdier and the lenses were clearer. However, there were still some issues: the fit wasn't perfect, they kept sliding down my nose, and the style was a bit boring. It's a common struggle when you're trying to find affordable prescription glasses.

These were solid three-star glasses: decent for the price, nothing special, but they did the job. The quality could have been better, though.
